ABOUT US

EST. 2011

Why we exist

Hip hop is powerful, but so is the pressure that surrounds it. We are here to stand in the gap for artists, producers, and the people behind the scenes.Believing Jesus still opens eyes, turns hearts, and brings people into light.

THE ORIGIN

NOT ON MY WATCH

Pray for Hip Hop was born from a divine spark at a prayer meeting in 2011. Our founder, Kei-Landa Rembert, received a spiritual vision that shifted her perspective. God showed her His heart for the voices shaping the culture and called her to lift them up through prayer.

We hear their names, follow their stories, and play their music, but rarely stop to pray. Too often we are watching, but not interceding.

THE FOUNDER

Kei-Landa Rembert is an artist and creative rooted in the Lower East Side of Manhattan with a lifelong love for hip hop and the arts. She blends music, writing, and visual storytelling to communicate hope with clarity. Pray for Hip Hop was born from her assignment to stand in the gap for the culture and serve the people shaping it.

ACTS 26:18

What pfhh is today

We began with a 40-night fast and prayer starting January 1, from sundown to sunup, anchored in Acts 26:18.

Since then, unexpected doors have opened across hip hop and media, including moments connected to Jermaine Dupri, Nelly, Safaree, Iggy Azalea, Romeo, Kanye West, and an appearance connected to The Breakfast Club. None of it was planned.

We see it as God making room for the assignment.
